500 People for One Year
500 people at $10 for one year = $60,000! That’s our goal.

“What are you going to do with $60,000?”
Is this you’re question? I myself like simplicity, and that includes simple answers! Simiyu House Corporation wants to divvy up the total amount raised into three projects: local, national, and international.
Our intention is that everyone who donates has a part to play and something to say; therefore, Eric Smith (President of Simiyu House) will keep everyone updated on the process and ideas of where this money should be spent via email. Furthermore, charts will be posted to let donors know where money has been spent in the past and where it will be spent in the future, and polls will be taken by donors only to vote on where we believe the money will be best spent.
The overall goal of this fundraiser is to show people that a Big Difference can be made by Micro-Movements (the Simiyu House motto).
Our local project will be located in Indianapolis, IN where a family is in desperate need of a home make-over. The house has been overcome with many animals who were once pets, but became a complete burden over the family. Mr. Kelly Hipskind of Kelly Touch (kellytouch.com) will be heading up the project, but we hope to bring masses of volunteers down there as soon as we’re ready to proceed! Updates coming soon.
Our national project is unknown, so if you are a donor, and you have a great project that could be taken up that seems within the financial range above, please submit the idea through our comment button, and it will be immediately taken into consideration!
Our international project is also unknown, although Eric Smith is partial to finishing the Kenya project as it could easily be finished with a solid chunk of funding. The Kenya project is already teamed up with Engineers Without Borders in Baltimore, and is currently raising funds to send their team out to finish the clean water project. There’s still plenty of opportunities to make a great project there in Kakamega, and Eric believes it may be great opportunity to take some donors to Kenya as well!
So what do you say? Will you make a micro-movement and sign up to donate $10 per month for 12 months? You’ve got to be one person who spends ten dollars. Be One; Spend Ten.
